Exotic Species Eradication and Control Plan at a Mine in Rio Maior
At a kaolin mine in Rio Maior, all clusters and individuals of invasive alien flora species were identified and georeferenced. This mapping served as the basis for outlining a plan to eradicate and control alien species in various areas of the mine, as well as measures to minimize their reappearance. This plan also included planning for areas with native species for vegetation recovery and a plan to monitor and track vegetation development in the affected areas.
