Bat monitoring
We have technicians certified in working at height with training recognized by the Global Wind Organization (GWO), technicians with level 2 and 3 in speleology registered with the Portuguese Speleology Federation (FPE), technicians accredited to verify and validate the condition of the necessary collective protection equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) and technicians accredited by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) for monitoring shelters, capturing and handling bats.
We develop monitoring plans, install and maintain equipment at height, perform specific sampling, analyze and process collected data, and prepare reports.
Our services include:
- Active and passive acoustic monitoring with manual detectors and automatic detectors;
- Mortality prospecting and mortality correction factors;
- Prospecting and monitoring of shelters;
- Sampling with nebula nets and harp traps;
- Installation of artificial shelters (shelter boxes);
- Preparation of monitoring plans;
- Preparation of impact assessment and monitoring reports;
- Planning of mitigation and compensation measures for bats (e.g. habitat management)
